we were waiting to hear from the Mercy Center to meet up and buy the kids their Christmas presents,
but we did not get the call so I will call them today, so on to our evening, we decided on an Indian meal so a ride to the Arab quarter looking for an Indian restaurant braving the countless police road blocks, but the two restaurants we had in mind had both been taken over and were more hookah pipe smoking stations,
but Diana remembered that there was an Indian restaurant on the Second Road, which has been conveniently reduced to one lane and in one direction only for the busy season,
the Royal Indian Hut,
so in we went,
very clean and smart inside,
we ordered 4 dishes, rice, chicken tikka masala, chicken dhansak and aloo gobi,
and all were excellent, the restaurant even used long grain rice, which is something that I really like but not offered very often,
we sat by the window, it was nice sitting there watching the world go by,
'Cheers!', from me, we both said next time we fancy an Indian meal but did not want to push the boat out by going to say Ali Baba we would come back here, the only slight worry is if it would still be here, it is almost the busiest time of the year and we were the only customers, bearing in mind we sat there for quiet some time after we had finished the meal we were still the only customers there,
we then decided to take a stroll along Walking Street before heading home, we had to stop and look at the magician as we went past, I have mentioned him before, he is really good and well worth watching,
the street was packed with people,
we made our way back to Second Road, Diana did not have a dessert, so as we passed the pancake stall we had to stop,
these were the same as we had in the fishing park a few weeks ago,
the pancake she was throwing around was huge,
into the pan,
add banana,
cook and fold,
just a few more minuets now,
lightly brown,
whilst waiting a look along the almost deserted street leading to Soi Blues Factory,
pancake now finished cut into small pieces,
although we had seen it before we watched The Fifth Element, one of those movies you can see a few times and still enjoy it,
then on to some Tales of the Unexpected, well a whole evenings worth, nine of them! they are so good to watch and each one with a real twist in the tale,
whilst watching them, Diana having eaten the pancake still fancied a sweet or two,
