it was absolutely gridlocked, it was even a struggle to get through on the bike,
when we reached Friendship what was Decorum had now been made into a motorbike park,
then into the market at Soi Bukoaw, it must be Christmas! I have not seen it as packed as this for years,
a good selection of live fish at the fish shop,
and dead ones at the bar-b-q!
I read in one of the UK papers that some Christmas plants like Poinsettias were going to be in short supply,
but over here there are lots of them,
if you have ever wondered why they are popular at Christmas they trace their history back to a Mexican legend,
like many plants the red is not the flower, they are just the leaves, the flowers are very small and white at the center of the leaves, there is also a salmon colour variety as well,
and a few marigolds for a change,
I waited in the cafe with an ice coffee till Diana returned, then home,
next I called round to say hi! to Keith and Jess, also to admire his 2 day old motorbike, it sounded great, also in the stopping department it has anti lock brakes, a real safety improvement,
what a difference a day makes! this is the same shot I took yesterday of the 3BB office where I pay my Internet bill,
opposite the bar tonight the police had a stall, nothing much was happening as it was still a bit early,
so I had a wander round, this is one of the ever increasing numbers of tour groups being shown around, the Friday night market has become a regular feature on the tour bus route,
the hoola-hoop craze still shows no sign of abating,
a quick look along the food stalls,
fresh fruit to go,
then Diana returns with some pomeleo and pineapple,
then the show begins, Pattaya's singing policemen!
there were 3 or 4 of them belting out numbers for all they were worth, the karaoke performance was to raise funds for the flood victims in Thailand, in front of the stage was a large box for donations to be placed in, as we left it was filling up fast, then for us home, our evening meal, some fresh fruit then The Tudors, Queen Catherine carries on her passionate affair with Culpepper and is finally caught out, though betrayed would be a better description, then off to bed.
