with more cooking faculties for the vegetables and rice,
plus a boom box!
plenty of room as we were a bit early,
Keith and Paul relaxing with a beer or three!
by now things were getting lively, Jess in the foreground,
the karaoke group were in good voice,
Begge from Germany and Paul,
Begge's husband Lobo and another gentleman whose name I have forgotten,
we chatted the night away,
meanwhile the group were entertaining all of the guests,
with plenty of food and drink to help the evening along,
plenty of food and coke for Diana,
'cheers!' from Paul and myself,
Keith and Lobo, the glass of wine really is that large - no it was not mine! many thanks to Keith and Jess, for a lovely party and for making everyone so welcome in their home,
then home feet up for the TV mini series The Day of the Triffids, it's an up-to-date setting of the 1951 sci-fi thriller written then by John Wyndham, the 1981 version I have not seen yet, so on to this 2009 effort, with the world blinded and the Triffids set loose, it falls upon a band of scattered, sighted survivors to fight this carnivorous plant invasion, it is not often that a remake is better than the original, but I must say that this version is as good as the 1962 version I have seen, then off to bed.
