Some pictures of Diana and Myself, where we now live and places around us, things that we find interesting, amusing or just plain weird!

Today It Was A Trip To Friendship,
to buy a few things for this evening, after that in the afternoon it was feet up to watch the conclusion of A History of Britain, for me the last of the series was by far the most interesting, The Two Winstons, Churchill and Smith, the first Winston Churchill, most will of heard of, but the second, Winston Smith, may not be so well known, unless you have read a book written by Indian born Eric Blair as he was dying of tuberculosis in 1948, the books title was a reversal of the last two digits of that year, 1984,
strangely enough we watched the film only last Wednesday, but back to A History of Britain, if you do buy the series before watching I would suggest you put the last disc on and watch Simon Schama's Promotional Message, it is highlighted in blue above, before watching the DVD's as he sets the tone for the series, before anyone thinks I have lost my marbles George Orwell was a pseudonym for Eric Blair,
then on to the evening of fun and merriment, Joe and Mr. Tony were both in fine spirits,
'Cheers!' from Slim Jim and myself, Juu his wife Dang and Brian were here as well,
Nick and Maureen also called in,
along with Ta-Ta who was wearing her thick winter coat,
we had asked the Victory International Family Church choir to call round and sing a few Christmas carols,
so it was a move to the front garden,
where we all listen spellbound,
they were so good, we had all of the favorites,
after several carols it was pose for the group photo,
and time to say our goodbyes,
then upstairs for a huge feast of sandwiches that Maureen had kindly made along with salad from Slim Jim whilst everyone else brought a tipple or three along!
all to soon it was time for our guests to leave but not before we gave Maureen the turkey for Christmas lunch,
then time for a few more pictures a few jokes then after all of our friends had left off to bed, a big thank you to all that came and your generous donations to the church choir, is it to early to say Merry Christmas!
