Do Not Mess With Fish 134

and you thought fish were fun!
well this one looks like it is having a fun time, it is smashing a clam against a rock which has started a scientific debate, is this an example of a fish using a tool, in the same way as a bird uses a rock to break the shell of a snail? photographed by professional diver Scott Gardner who was returning from a dive off Australia's Great Barrier Reef when he heard a cracking noise, a tuskfish hovering nearby had grabbed a clam in its jaws and succeeded in breaking the shell, it appears this was not an isolated incident as there were many broken shells near by, but can this behavior be described as using a tool?
