Up, Up And Away!
yes we are off to Phuket for a week,so this will be the last post till we return, but back to the post first thing we went to watch the latest Harry Potter movie in the Central Festival, the latest being Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, the final in the saga, but of course there is an opening for a further series, I have not read the critics reviews but for both of us we really enjoyed the film, for me it was the best so far the special effects were so good, slightly disappointing though was the 3D effect, before the screening of Deathly Hallows there was a trailer for Happy Feet 2 the images really jumped out of the screen at you in 3D, but in the Potter movie you could see the 3D effect but nothing seemed to come out of the screen at you until the ash started failing at the end of the movie, it seemed like 98% of the movie was made into 3D by running a 2D film through a computer, then just this 2% actually filmed using a proper 3D camera/film set up, but one piece of good news, there is going to be a Sherlock Holmes 2, A Game of Shadows, as a trailer was shown for it and very good it looked too, due to be released in America on the 16th of December most other places in the world January 2012, I have to say we are both looking forward to seeing the movie,
we spent the afternoon packing for our trip, then to the soup stall for our evening meal,
we pass the stalls every few days if we are out and about, this is the first time the chicken stall has been here for a couple of weeks,
whilst waiting I wandered along to the plant shop, but there was nothing much to see,
after our evening meal we watched the final part of Masada, when events that are still remember today were carried out by the defenders of the hill top fort,
Wild South America: Andes To Amazon was next, or I should say the first DVD in this two DVD set, stunning photography, well worth every penny for entertainment and information, we are both looking forward to watching the next one in the box,
to round the evening off the last of Are You Being Served? it seemed strange watching the Christmas special in July but there you are, Diana especially liked this series, it was also so popular at the time, then for us off to bed, so no more posts for a week or so, as our bags are packed and we are waiting for the taxi, then we are up, up and away!
