and to celebrate that fact, Waitrose and Heston Blumenthal have revealed details of a festive dinner range - which even features a brining kit, the announcement by Waitrose comes as a raft of stores host 'Christmas in Summer' events to showcase their offers, award-winning chef Blumenthal is renowned for using science to deliver remarkable flavours and textures, explaining the use of the kit, he said: 'turkey tends to dry out so brining it makes a huge difference, traditionally, brine is 25 per cent salt, I have created a kit with just 6 to 8 per cent salt, which helps retain the water in the meat, keeping it moist and adding flavour,' the 'Heston From Waitrose' range also includes duck and sour cherry stuffing balls, mulled cider, crystallised pistachios, chocolate and passion fruit popping candy tart, plus golden syrup and ale cured 'pigs in blankets', so much to look forward to.
