Some pictures of Diana and Myself, where we now live and places around us, things that we find interesting, amusing or just plain weird!

We Had A Quiet Day,
mainly because I was updating our blog,
but in the afternoon Juu called round for a beer or two on his Harley,
naturally Diana had to have a go,
we decided to eat out in the evening,
so a quick call to Secrets taxi service and we were on our way,
to China Garden,
for a starter of duck with pancakes,
'Cheers!',
for the main course we went for special chow mien and prawns with beansprouts,
it was almost too much for us to eat, for dessert we had battered pineapple, then home to continue updating the blog, I finished it at about 2 in the morning so for us it was time for bed.

Hi Stan & Diana, excellent blog as ever.
'The China Garden' restuarant seems great value for money - really large portions. Do you ever ask for what is left over to be packaged up and taken home? What is know in the UK as a 'doggy bag'.
I can't recall ever seeing this custom in any restuarants I have been to in Thailand, but is quite common practice in Europe & the USA.
Is a 'doggy bag' not really in keeping with Thai culture, do you know?
Dear Mocha Joe, yes doggy bags are common practice out here, it is not uncommon to order a few things not to be brought to the table but held back till you leave already packed to go, I have to agree the portions in China Garden are indeed huge, best regards, Stan and Diana.
