but for a change we joined Steve and Kai,
keep behind the yellow/black tape,
and form an orderly queue,
normally the meats are carved and then you help yourself to vegetables, but now the chef serves you the vegetables and finally gives you the plate at the end of the counter,
and here we all are,
delicious!
as was the desserts, Diana and Kai having a coffee banoffee,
apple pie with ice cream for Steve,
ice cream with Belgium chocolate for myself,
what could be better?
all set to tuck in,
as was Kai, meal finished it was off back to our flat, where we spent the afternoon chatting away, after thanking Steve and Kai they left, and as it was late in the afternoon, rather than watch one from the sci-fi box we chose a film from Netflix,
Hostiles, cowboys and Indians, well army and Indians, from an all action start it went into 15 minuets or so of dreary, another action scene, then back to dreary, the film continued like this until the end, it almost seemed like in places the script ran out, so a line of horse trudged across the screen until the script caught up, maybe I expected too much from my boyhood cowboys and Indians films, moving on we watched a number of episodes from Shakespeare & Hathaway: Private Investigators, based in Stratford-upon-Avon, the crime fighting duo take on
various cases, a great series that we both enjoyed, each episode in 45 minute
bite sized pieces, we watched until just after midnight, then for us we were
off to bed.
