I Walked Into Town With Diana,

who was going to work,

I was going shopping, we noticed the pathway was a bit brighter than normal,

and this was why, one of the cherry trees had been cut down, I left Diana at the bus stop and continued to Waitrose,

where panic buying had already begun, last Friday straight in, no queues, today from the entrance to the end of the building and back again shoppers were queueing, the queue had caught a few people out, it was bitterly cold and very windy, but many arriving in their cars expecting to walk in were now shivering in the cold as they had not brought jackets or warm clothes with them,

shopping finished, back home, I had bought amongst other things a couple of batteries for the central heating thermostat, it was getting cold indoors and the heating was not turning on, the batteries had died, so batteries replaced and the unit put back in its wall mounting, the thermostat started blinking showing 20, I pushed all of the buttons but nothing changed, so a job for Diana when she returns from work, after my evening meal Steve called round, as it was going to be crowded in the club from now on, with people who normally drank outside, now coming inside to drink it was going to be crowded, so drinking in at home for us from now on,

in the back ground we watched a few more episodes of Detectorists, which we both found very amusing, a couple of hours after Steve left Diana called,

off to the bus stop by the station, we arrived back home at 12.45, before putting our feet up for a chat, Diana worked her magic with the wall thermostat, evidently the 20 that was flashing was the unit telling me to input the date and time, I did not have a clue, now the good news the central heating works! and with that we were off to bed.
