is true everywhere,
especially in Japan, the West corner of Jingumae Crossing has
largely remained unchanged for the past 50 years, but when the iconic
Condomania relocated in late 2018, it proved to be the first sign of new
changes to come,
now,
renderings have been revealed: a monolithic, multi-functional structure
designed by architect Akihisa Hirata will open in 2022, meaning that the face
of one of Tokyo’s most famous crossings will continue to change,
the new structure will house shops and other commercial facilities, as well as several outdoor spaces that will incorporate trees and greenery into the design,
the work of Architect Akihisa
Hirata,
who has always been interested in tangled, organic structures, is here
in his creation of the facade and outdoor spaces, as mentioned, nothing stays the same forever, even famous landmarks.
