Sunday,

and time for lunch,

starting with smoked mackerel on toast with a salmon terrine,

'Cheers!',

although it was not night time we still lit up the candles,

for our main course roast pork, with crackling and all of the trimmings,

another 'Cheers!',

Diana's main course with gravy, none for myself,

on to desserts, there was still some pie left from yesterday,

so lashings of cream it was then, well it will go off by next week, that's my excuse and I am sticking to it! after taking a long break listening to music, it was time for one out of the sci-fi box,

for this afternoon, The Phantom Planet, featuring a shrinking astronaut, romance, moon maidens, a trial until near death and fire people, all in one film, what more could you possibly want?

in the evening we decided on two slightly more up to date films, the first Mortal Engines, what a special effect feast, we really both enjoyed the thundering rolling cites, and the robot Shrike was suitably scary dairy!

inrounded the evening off with a comedy, Fierce Creatures, if you liked the cast in A Fish Called Wanda, they are all back again in this hugely funny farce, great fun, and with the end of that we were off to bed.

Stanley thanks for recommending Panettone. We saw one in the market and bought it. We just had with a French Press coffee and it was wonderful. We put ours in the microwave just enough to warm. Ours was made in Brazil but really good and fresh. Thanks again. John and Alley Central Florida jpo5626@gmail.com. Merry Christmas

Dear John and Alley, we really enjoy the plain panettone, we have tried the chocolate and also a nut one, but for us the originals are best, they seem to keep, so we bought another couple to see us through Christmas! I hope you had a good Thanksgiving, best regards, Stan and Diana.
