When I First Read The Word 'Windowology',

I was reminded of the Monty Python sketch,

from The Life of Brianwhere one of the characters has an unfortunate lisp, but I was incorrect, it really is a word and the name of  an exhibition as Japan House in Los Angeles holds the 10th anniversary of Windowology with a virtual exhibition,

Igarashi Tarō (Director of the Windowology exhibition),comments, "Windows are one of the most important elements in architecture. They function to connect the outside and inside worlds, opening and closing as required. They are made of transparent glass so they allow us to see the world outside and inside through them, yet the glass itself acts as a physical shield, offering us protection from the elements and harm",

Windows on the Teahouse (Credit: ©2019 Takumi Ota Photography), the Windowology exhibition examines the role of windows as cultural objects and the ways in which they frame our vision and give us unique perspectives on the world. It explores ten themes: Windows on CraftWindows on the EnvironmentWindows on StoriesWindows on FilmWindows on the TeahouseWindows on MangaWindows on How We Live NowWindows on MotionWindows on Words, and Windows on Art, each of the above has a collection of photographs many of which are so nice, also if you click onto the link to Windowology, it has a neat interactive feature allowing you to move around the exhibition.
