Hell,

but not as we know it,

this is the Japanese version,

demons can be seen tearing people at their crotch, these and many more can be seen in a art book which was published several years ago that collected a wide range of images depicting hell in Japanese art from the 12th century to the 19th century. The massive single-volume collection consists of almost 600 pages of works designated as Japanese National Treasures and features the various depictions of hell by artists such as Kazunobu Kanō, Yoshitoshi Tsukioka and the master of horror Kyōsai Kawanabe,

from the book

which shows various forms of torture (being forced to hold a large daikon radish in your both, being used as a drumstick, etc.)

and various scenes of pain and suffering,

“God of Heavenly Punishment.” From the scroll “Extermination of Evil” ( 1127 – 1192 AD),

the book is available on Amazon, it is up to you if you show it to the ankle bitters in your family, to keep the little rascals in check!
