this commission in Brussels does anyone know who they are? are we, Great Britain, represented on it? or does some one think these rules up whilst having a tea break?

Lets Start The Day With A Look At What Our Masters In Brussels Have Cooked Up For Us This Week,
firstly up to a 50% increase in rail fares,
the new rules proposed by the European Commission would create a 'user pays' system, in simple terms the price of an annual season ticket between Sevenoaks and London, for example, would rise by £1,400 a year to £4,200, the policy is outlined in the Commission's new Transport White Paper, last night, Shadow Transport Secretary Maria Eagle said she had been horrified to discover the 'user pays' proposal in the Paper and condemned the Brussels plan as 'barmy', the paper also proposes a Single European Railway Area and of course the increased use of road charges 'as an alternative way to generate revenue and influence traffic and travel behaviour', a Transport Department spokeswoman chose not to comment directly on the Commission proposals,
