We Watched A Few DVDs In The Day Time,

so many thanks to Alex for bring them over for us,

also during the day Mark called round for a tea and a chat, we talked about some stamps that I was hoping to bid for, also he had bought a few items on EBay, then in the evening we were off to the food stalls,

the one we normally go to was there selling chicken soup,

whilst I ordered two portions Diana went to the 7 - 11 just on the corner,

next stop the fresh fruit mobile stall for some melon to nibble on later,

the first we watched was the second in the X-Men series X-Men 2, several months have passed since The X-Men defeated Magneto and imprisoned him in a seemingly impregnable plastic chamber, but one of his associates has a cunning plan to release him, great stuff,

I have always had a great deal of admiration for BBC documentaries in being factual, but it all went out of the window with this one! The Great Rift, I had always believed that Lake Baikal, Siberia, Russia at 5,369 ft was the deepest lake in the world, followed by Lake Tanganyika, Tanzania, Dem. Rep. of Congo & Zambia at 4,823 ft, but not according to this programme, the record is a staggering depth of 31,680 feet! over 6 miles in Lake Tanganyika, rewrite every book that has ever been written about the deepest lake in the world and about Lake Tanganyika, another dropped ball was when at 45 meters deep in the Red sea we were informed that we were being shown sights that mankind had never witnessed before, shame the corals and fish that were being shown do not live at more than 18 - 20 meters in depth due to the lack of light at deeper depths!

not in every bodies choice of things to watch, but I find the Second World War of interest, so the DVD Hitler's War - 1939-1945, was for me interesting,

we really did not know what to make of this one, Lost In Space, I remember the series in the mid 1960's but in this film I do not know who it was intended for, cuddly alien for the kids which looked terrible for the adults, but scary creatures and a plot sure to unset the kids but great for Mums and Dads, well with the end of that we were off to bed.
