During The Day There Were A Couple Of Storms,

so we stayed in,

and watched a couple of movies, but in the late afternoon it was glad rags on for our Sunday lunch,

we decided on Cherry's on Third Road, but they do not open till late hence the late start,

 oh the agony of choice,

in the end Diana and myself decided on the set menu at 325 baht a head, whilst Mr. Tony chose off the menu,

 first an amuse bouche,

there was also a selection of fresh breads on the table,

then a visit to the salad bar,

I have to admit I am not sure if the salad bar is included in the 325 set menu, but if not it is 95 baht a head,

 which seemed very reasonable,

but back to our set menu,

Diana and myself had a salmon terrine,

whilst Mr. Tony ordered the mussels,

next in the set menu mushroom soup,

 followed by a lemon sorbet,

Mr. Tony ordered lamb chops for his main course,

 which looked delicious,

whilst Diana and myself had a choice of steak, chicken, pork or fish main courses,

we both went with the steak which as you would expect was tender and cooked to perfection, 'Cheers!',

included in the set meal was a lemon meringue with chocolate, followed by tea or coffee,

during the day we watched The Brothers Grimm, a fantasy adventure bringing to life the horrors of children's story tales, I say horror because if you look past the sanitised versions that we are familiar with the stories are pretty gruesome, if you have time take a look at the introduction to the some think discredited Bruno Bettelheim's book 'The Uses of Enchantment', to give an insight into the complexities of childhood stories, but back to the film, scary dairy chilling it was, no doubt about that, but a feast if you like total fantasy films with modern day special effects,

March of the Dinosaurs was much more calm and easy watching, but it always seems strange when in stories like this the animals/dinosaurs are given personalties, but watchable neither the less, in the evening before Mr. Tony left we watched some of the newer Top Gear presentations, then after he left we were off to bed.
