so on with the post,
we had eaten all of the delicious Marian plums we had bought a few days ago, so we were off to buy some more in the market almost opposite the temple complex in Pattaya Tai,
it always amazes me the number of food and fruit stalls that are here,
we noticed some of the large round mangoes that we like,
so Diana carefully chose one,
lots of apples,
and mangoes,
not to mention sausages on sticks, but try as we might there were no plums to be found, so will try again on Friday at the night market,
then glad rags on as we were out for our evening meal,
to Cherry's,
it is opposite what once was the X-Cite disco on Third Road,
we were joined by Mr. Tony for the evening, so we started on the salad bar that is included in the 350 baht per person International buffet that is served on Wednesdays and Saturdays,
Mr. Tony and Diana at the salad bar,
after a break we started on the starters,
and we were spoilt for choice,
decisions, decisions!
I have to admit we all went to the starter selection a couple of times,
I just could not resist the salmon amongst other temptations,
'Cheers!',
Diana then made a start on the main courses, macaroni and a slice of pizza,
sole and spinach for Mr. Tony,
whilst I went for the carvery,
as did Diana for her next course,
plenty of vegetables to choice from as well,
for myself a slice of roast lamb, baked salmon, chicken and some mashed potato,
ribs for Diana,
and for Mr. Tony,
next the desserts were calling,
firstly we all went for a selection of ice creams,
and fresh fruit,
then a few individual dishes, a tiramisu and cream caramel for Diana,
whilst I struck the pose and continued with ice cream,
we generally sit in roughly the same area and are always looked after by these two waiters whose service could not be better,
next we all moved onto individual desserts,
a raspberry delight,
Diana said I had to pull a funny face whilst eating it, on reflection it looks more like a spine chilling leer, but there you are,
spine chilling leer take two, we rounded off the meal with tea and coffee, again another fabulously delicious evening for just 350 baht each, great food, service and value for money, it may seem that we eat a lot, well I suppose we do, but to be fair we take at least 3 hours for a meal, we chat away and have a nice long break between courses and make a evening of the meal, I guess that is why we enjoy the meals we meet up for so much,
when we returned home we watched a couple of episodes of Black Books, we had seen the series before, but that was a bonus, the characters we already now know are even funnier the third time around, Black Books is a Bafta-winning sitcom about the antics of foul tempered and wildly eccentric bookshop owner Bernard Black, his long-haired and long-suffering assistant, Manny, and his best (in fact only) friend, Fran, we hoped a series 4 was going to be made we enjoyed it that much but it was not to be, then by a happy happenstance a couple of Top Gears that Mr. Tony had not seen were being played so we watched them, then it was time to say our farewells, as we are up early tomorrow and it was late for us we were off to bed.
