the rails were made of brass, well Paul Grundbacher from Thurgau, Swizerland has had a new take on that idea with his hand cranked 'toy' made entirely of wood, titled 3. Marble machine "Regenschiff" (rain ship) Paul said that he works mostly with firewood from a local factory and that he rarely sketches anything beforehand but has the ability to fashion each piece and try it as opposed to carefully measuring things out through any sort of blueprint, each piece is a mixture of his own ideas and tricks leaned from watching videos of other artists creating similar wooden devices, even the chain is made of wood,
