and there is bad luck,
take the case of these two couples, first the good luck, a North Carolina couple who
bought a plot of land way back in 2003, 21 Ocean Ridge Blvd. North, and did nothing more about it, so you can imagine their delight when
a house appeared on it as,
well technically I guess it was theirs and not just any old
house, we are talking about a three-story,
five-bedroom, 5,000-square-foot house that cost $680,000,
this is the story, six months after the custom
house was built, a survey crew working nearby realised the error, it had been
built on the wrong plot! it should have been built on the plot next
door, with the address of 23 Ocean
Ridge Blvd, being built on the wrong plot means I guess that the house has to be dismantled and rebuilt again next door, if that is not feasible it could mean the owners of plot 21 Ocean Ridge Blvd. North get a new house for free,
now the bad
luck, the couple that paid for the house to be built by a company called Keystone Homes, is calling in a lawyer, meanwhile Keystone tries to negotiate a settlement between the two
parties, it turns out they might be responsible for constructing the house on the wrong plot, it appears that continuous survey errors caused the construction subcontractors to start
working on the wrong lot, but at least the builder must be given credit for his stance, 'the buck stops with the builder,' admitted
Keystone vice president Robbie Richmond, 'I have built about 600 homes in
Flagler County and this has never happened to me before, it does happen, but
it’s rare,' that statement makes such a change rather than the usual pass the buck game, good luck and bad luck, a world of difference, I just hope all
can be amicably resolved.
