Toyota is not a name that springs to mind,
but that could soon change with the unveiling of their Ponam-31, which they describe as a sports utility cruiser which seats 12 comfortably and as it's name implies is 31 feet long, Toyota's Ponam range began with the Ponam-28 back in 1997,
the aluminium-hulled Ponam-31 also incorporates ergonomic design features tried and tested in Toyota's extensive range of road-going vehicles, the spacious cabin below the flying bridge is almost car-like in luxury while the sofa and counter can be conveniently arranged in a number of configurations, Toyota's new Ponam-31 just went on sale in Japan priced starting at 29,700,000 yen (at today's rate £172,264 $277,167), would I like one? you bet!
