The Wonders Of Nature,

never cease to amaze me,

if you are lucky enough to be travelling in Costa Rica on either the Atlantic or Pacific sides of the country, or better still visiting any of these national Parks in the area, Guanacaste National Park, Rincón de la Vieja National Park, Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve, Palo Verde National Park, Carara National Park, Poás Volcano National Park, La Selva Reserve and Biological Station, Juan Castro Blanco National Park, Irazú Volcano National Park, Chirripó National Park, or La Amistad International Park, keep a look out for this little chap, the glass wing butterfly (Greta oto), Costa Rica is crisscrossed by migrations of 64 species of glass wings, this species, Greta oto, is one of the most abundant ones and is spotted more often than some of its relatives,

but how strange that most other species of butterfly have wings of so many colours but this one is almost transparent, amazing!
