Blog posted,

we were out,

it is Diana's day off and she is accompanying me to visit Duncan,

into a wet, rainy, cold day,

the bus windows all steamed up and dripping with rain outside,

a quick pose from Diana,

we were soon at Blackheath Village,

passing the flower shop next to the station,

Valentine's roses on special this week,

lots of cut flowers,

on the other side of the door,

lots of potted plants,

I always like the cyclamen on the right,

first stop the bakery next to the station,

for Diana's snack on the train, normally we buy them in the station, but they were out of stock,

of huge croissants,

downstairs on the platform,

well I just had to!

I noticed the station was having some repairs to it,

the wooden cladding over the ends of the roofs had been removed,

Diana bought a huge almond croissant,

we sped towards Dartford, where we had to change trains,

but arriving at Gravesend we were lucky as our bus was waiting, we were soon walking up the hill towards the home where Duncan stays,

the wind and rain had not improved as we neared the home, inside Duncan was in good sprits and was happy that Diana had visited him, we chatted away about some of the times we had together as we watched a programme about painting, when Duncan's lunch arrived we said our goodbyes,

out in to a wet day, then our problems started, when we arrived at the bus stop there was a sign, due to road works all buses to Gravesend had been cancelled until the Perry Street stop, so that was that 15 minutes or so later we arrived after walking to the bus stop, where thankfully a bus soon arrived, but on the good news front the train continued past Dartford so no changing trains there, we stayed on the bus until we arrived in Beckenham town, the doctor said my prescription would be ready today,

so off of the number 54 bus,

and past the florists,

on our way to Boots the pharmacy to pick up my prescription, which was not there, so that was a waste of time, I will call back on Friday to give it an extra day to arrive, back on to a bus to Bromley,

past Primark in the town square,

and into Lidl to pick up some spiced rum and boxed red wine,

arriving home after a couple of quiz shows it was time for our evening meal, so a sherry and a read,

a few poppadum's before our meal, for Diana,

spaghetti bolognaise and a chicken leg,

for myself a huge bowl of beef stew and dumpling,

'Cheers!', after our meal we watched a episode of BattleBots and a Outback Gold Hunters,

before our film for the evening, Tremors 4: The Legend Beginsgreat fun as in the late 1880s the worms make their first appearance, if you liked the previous 3 Tremors movies I am guessing you will like this one, next in the franchise is Tremors 5:Bloodlines, after which Diana was off to bed, another early start tomorrow, for myself one from Have I Got More News For You before I too was off to bed.
