Do Not Mess With Fish 62!
and you thought fish were fun!
well maybe these ones are, just eat one of these and go on a trip! Sarpa salpa is a species of sea bream normally found in the Mediterranean and of the coasts of Africa, but some have just been caught in UK waters, fisherman Andy Giles has told how he hauled one aboard instantly recognisable by its gold stripes, near Polperro, Cornwall, Ichthyoallyeinotoxism, or hallucinogenic fish poisoning, is caused by eating the heads or body parts of certain species of herbivorous fish, in this case eating the fish can trigger LSD-like hallucinations,
in 2006, two men, one aged 90, suffered hallucinations and nightmares for days after eating Sarpa salpa in southern France, for the case report go here, imagine going back to the nursing home and trying to explain that one away!
