apart from the fact for me I think it is rather ugly it was most probably because in 1938 my grandfather did not have £300 sloshing around in his pocket to buy it, which is a bit of a shame because if he had I would now be £3.4million richer! it was bought by well-known dealer Giuseppe Eskenazi the final price was £4.16million, including the buyer's premium and VAT, for the curious it is a 250 year old carved jade Imperial buffalo on a gilt bronze stand, it was made for the Chinese Emperor Qianlong himself.

This Is Another One Of Those,
"why did my family not buy one of these?"
