the Honus Wagner baseball card was sold in an online auction today,
the card was released in cigarette packs sold by the American Tobacco Co. from 1909 to 1911, what makes the card special, in addition to Wagner's fame, is the fact that it was pulled from circulation after about 200 were issued, I mentioned this card on the blog before, it was expected to reach $1 million, maybe even reaching $1.5 million, but the bids are in, it finally went for $1.2million, so next time you open a drawer or two have a look around, there may be another 1909 Honus Wagner baseball card in it waiting to be found!
