so off to Central Festival we went,
lots of bikes as usual,
the planners I think never realised how many people come here on two wheels,
this is what happens, as space gets short people start to double then triple park, I have no doubt in an hour or so the people who own the bikes at the back will have three or four bikes to move before they can get theirs out, but at least it gives the parking attendants some thing to laugh about as they watch the hapless owner struggling to get out,
the film we thought was on in the VIP theatre, but it was moved to The Porch, so that was where we waited,
there are about 12 double seats in the theatre with its own waiting area,
so it was a case of waiting to be led into the theatre,
it all seemed rather posh, but then then tickets were 600 baht each,
we even had our own bar,
and this was our seat, a sky bed, as it was called,
it was just like laying on the sofa at home, with complementary milkshakes,
and a few nibbles, the film was to say the least a bit slow at the start, also a bit confusing as so many characters had to be introduced, worse still each looked totally different when in civilian clothes to their look in their navy number ones, but once the action started it was great fun, we would have loved to have seen it in 3D, but I guess we will wait for it to come out on 3D BluRay,
then it was scream a second as Diana demonstrated how not to drive a car! thrills, spills and total mayhem as she tried to knock the other drivers off the track,
on the way home we decided to stop off at the chicken soup stall,
one thing I have noticed is that when prices in the UK go up it is a few %, unless of course you are the Royal Mail, but over here when a price goes up it is at the very least 10 or even 25%, but today the soup went from 30 to 40 baht, not a lot as far as the money is concerned but 33.3% increase in one go!, still it is delicious,
there are so many food carts here every evening, you are spoilt for choice,
next stop the fresh food market, Diana bought some lychee's and pineapple to snack on for later in the evening,
the durian seller strikes the pose, then home feet up for the evenings entertainment,
we watch some more of Downton Abbey, thoroughly entertaining, this is going to be another one of the type of series that we both hope will never finish, with four episodes of that we we off to bed.
