Were Up At 06.00 In The Morning ,

as a trip to Koh Larn was the venue for the day,

again I have split today into two posts as there are so many pictures, sunrise and we are on our way,

looking back towards Pattaya a storm cloud looked menacing, but it past without event,

all aboard the Skylark!

Diana looking as lovely as ever,
with Mum and Dioshane,

Albert, Donna and Sandio with some one being cheeky in the background!

it was quite crowded so two ferries took off, this one a few minuets before us, but our captain decided to make a race of it,

we pulled along side,

overhauled it,

and started to leave it behind,

quiet a long way behind,

our ferry stopped to allow some passengers to transfer to a long tail,

but even allowing for that we were onshore before the other ferry docked,

on dry land at last!

we made our way along the jetty looking at some of the fishing boats,

and the smaller beach on the right hand side,

although we caught a early ferry the beach still had a number of people on it,

but there was still plenty of room for us,

Albert and Donna making their way along the broad walk,

as we were making our way to the chairs some monks were coming towards us,

then it was time for a dip, Albert and Donna being first,

followed by Mum and Dioshane,

Donna and Dioshane taking the waters,

one more for the album,

Sandio joins Albert,

Albert joins the girls,

the family,

I decided to read my book,

after hiring a rubber ring another dip in the sea,

then time for a bite to eat, mussels and clams,

fish and squid,

more clams along with prawns and squid on a stick,

but for me bar-b-qued chicken,

the family had brought some Filipino food along for themselves,

and Albert,

sand sculpture time for Sandio,

a self portrait of Diana and myself taken by Diana,

the girls decided that they wanted a henna tattoo for the day,

but which tattoo to chose?

choice made,

it was down to business,

the site cleaned,

stencil added,

then henna applied,

I continued to read my book as work progressed,

half way there,

job finished,

allow it to dry,

I continued with my book,

then the next one please,

job done!

after all of that I needed a beer!

a happy Dioshane with tattoo,

and a pose on the sand to show it off,

the tattoo ladies, I just hope the tattoos dried before they go for a swim,

sisters front,

and back,

jumping for joy from the front,

and again the back,

then a family decision, to hire a banana boat,

so safety gear on,

and off they go,

a quick pose first,

mount up,

say goodbye,

and ahead warp factor 10!

and off into the distance,

then all smiles and they were back,

we decided against hiring a jet ski, but they looked good on it,

as none of the family had been on a speed boat before we hired this one for the return trip,

 all aboard,

I have to say some of the family were not too keen on this idea,

but these things have to be tried at least once,

still at anchor and everyone is happy,

I had to pose for the camera,

a slight change to the seating arrangements,

 and we were off,

 goodbye Koh Larn,

there were a few bumpy bits and screams on the way back,

as none of the family had been on a speed boat before, in fact none of them had been at sea on a boat before this holiday,

on the way back we went past this ferry going to the island,

as we neared Pattaya the captain went through a couple of high speed turns,

that brought out a few more screams,

then to Pattaya at last, a few breathed a sigh of relief!

out boat pulled away from the jetty as we made our way home,

as I made my way to the truck I noticed this picture, there is a lot of work going on at the Bali Hai pier, this was placed around the outside of the works, I wonder if the building that is being constructed will have a car park like this? anyway a great day out, it was just like being on holiday, then we were home to 388 to freshen up for our evening out.
