Songkran Is Over!

so we can now go out with out getting wet,

I popped into the Kodak shop to drop off a memory stick with photographs of Diana's family visit,

also a couple of presents for Diana to be gift wrapped for her birthday in a couple of months time,

then to the bank, next home to post yesterdays blog,

we had to wait till midday for the pictures to be ready, so over to Nagklua,

to have a glass of ice coffee whilst we looked at them,

and what a nice ice coffee, even the ice cubes were coffee coloured!

so a glass of ice, one of the coffee itself, then two smaller glasses of syrup and milk, delicious, 75 baht each,

the reason we stopped at The Balcony Terrace was that it is in the same quadrangle as the FedEx office,

on our way back we decided to stop off at The World Of Sport for a bite to eat, it is on the road that goes downhill to the Dolphin roundabout just before it on the left hand side if you are going to Pattaya,

a sausage roll with onions for me,

and some Thai food for Diana,

as we made our way along Third Road I just had to stop at my favourite shop, the Ducati dealership, it is being refurbished, unfortunately Tony was not there, but one of his assistants showed me around,

Diana liked this one, but a bit out of our price range,

so many nice machines to chose from,

I can just imagine Diana on the back of this one!

if ever I win the pools!

shopping for a few things that we had run out of in Friendship,

but there was one thing that every shop, Tescos, Family Mart, 7-11 and Friendship had run out of, ice, not a cube to be found anywhere, but I did pick up the limes for the evening,

off to the weekend market for the evening,

blue skies with hardly a cloud in sight,

just a couple of clothes shops opposite the bar this evening,

the aisles still a bit quiet,

there seems to be an ever increasing number of ice shake stalls opening up,

even more amazing was the number of pet stalls selling dog suits,

racks of them, even FBI outfits, I should say that most if not all of these jackets are in the 'mini' dog size, you know the ones I mean, the ones that yap all the time and harass hamsters,

 sunset over the market,

Diana was soon back with some shopping, lychee's, mango's and a new top or three!

Brian joined us for a beer,

along with his wife Sa and one of her cousins,

whilst at the market Diana and Dang had found a stall selling Indian food, so she bought a couple of kababs for our evening meal,

 which were delicious,

of course you must remember all through the day every so often there would be a little voice, 'what is in the presents?' or 'where did you buy them?', I will have to hide them or the questions will go on for the next few months!

after our evening meal we watched a comedy programme or two starting with, The Mythbusters, followed by Ancient Aliens, I like the tag lines that open the commercials for the programme, 'we are dealing with multi-headed animal intelligence' or 'the craft had gleaming bronze ribs!', then to round off the evening a DVD that does not take itself academically seriously, Hot Fuzz, one of three films on one DVD, the story centres around a perfect police officer that shames his colleagues by his success rate, so the powers that be move him to a quiet backwater in the countryside, but then things hot up for the fuzz, after that we were off to bed.
