but of course some jobsworth on the council had an excuse, Thanet Council yesterday claimed the bags had been sent to landfill sites as they were contaminated with non-recyclable waste, but declined to fine the house holds for the contamination,
Clive Hart, leader of the opposition Labour group on Thanet Council, called for the binmen to be retrained, ‘Unfortunately, the outcome of this film is that lots of people are going to say, “Why am I bothering?”,’ he said, yes why bother indeed?
