next to arrive was Mark,
followed by Russ, the 2 weeks he was here went so fast, tonight is his last night here as he is flying tomorrow, hopefully he and his brother will be back soon,
Geoff, Fe, son Samuel and Fe's cousin Mary Grace also called in,
and Big Jim was here of course,
meanwhile the girls were downstairs having a cooking fest,
Geoff's son Samuel, Fe and Mary Grace,
then young James, Beth and Richard arrive,
by now the cooking was in full swing, with prawns in abundance,
Mike and Riza brought some crispy spring rolls, but before then we all had an appetizer of pork satay,
it was nearly standing room only, Mr. Tony took up his usual position,
most of the girls, Fe, Mary Grace and Beth looking after Samuel in the other room,
then the food arrived, Mark brought along some delicious garlic bread,
whilst Richard and Beth brought lots of food for the girls, I have been told I have got to buy a round carpet as the girls did not like the cold floor,
after the meal talk turned to world affairs, Captain Richard (yes he really was a Captain in the British army and yes he did go to Sandhurst) regaled us with talk of his life in the trenches, as Aurther Haynes would say "up to me neck in muck and bullets" no really that was a bit before Richards time, but the true stories he told had us all spellbound, then as Mr. Tony nodded off the jokes started, like,
never be alone, get schizophrenia, I used to be schizophrenic, but we're all right now.
Ham and Eggs: A day's work for a chicken; A lifetime commitment for a pig,
and a few pearls of wisdom, such as,
don't get married, find a woman you hate and buy her a house, it's a lot easier on you,
there are 3 kinds of people: those who can count and those who can't,
you really do not want to hear the bad ones!
