whilst Richard and Beth brought lots of food for the girls, I have been told I have got to buy a round carpet as the girls did not like the cold floor,
after the meal talk turned to world affairs, Captain Richard (yes he really was a Captain in the British army and yes he did go to Sandhurst) regaled us with talk of his life in the trenches, as Aurther Haynes would say "up to me neck in muck and bullets" no really that was a bit before Richards time, but the true stories he told had us all spellbound, then as Mr. Tony nodded off the jokes started, like,
never be alone, get schizophrenia, I used to be schizophrenic, but we're all right now.
Ham and Eggs: A day's work for a chicken; A lifetime commitment for a pig,
and a few pearls of wisdom, such as,
don't get married, find a woman you hate and buy her a house, it's a lot easier on you,
there are 3 kinds of people: those who can count and those who can't,
you really do not want to hear the bad ones!
all to soon it was time to go, we had a full house and a great time was had by all, for anyone I forgot to thank for bring food and drink along many thanks and I hope we all have time to meet up again next week.
