I Spent Most Of The Day Reading About H.M.S. Intrepid,

it was Mark's first ship, the book, HMS Intrepid Her Final Journey, was written by George Heron, although not looking back over it's illustrious career, it details the final days of it's end, from clearing out the dry dock to the final pieces of savable materials from the ship,
some of the pages are written by members of the crew that served on her, some very poignant stories some of them were to, there is a forum for old shipmates,
then along to Mick and Mass's house warming dinner, Diana, Anchisa, Mass, Mick, Precil and Jay,
first a quick look at Mick's two fish tanks,
and very nice they looked too,
Mark arrived shortly after,
salad, prawns with asparagus shoots in a mild sauce,
the girls soon got the bar-b-q on the go,
whilst I helped on the drinks front,
chicken, pork and steaks, way to go!
"Cheers!" from all of us,
and from the other side of the table,
and a bottle of bubbly and who is going to open it?
Mass of course!
I was kept busy with all those bottles,
after cooking the meal the girls took a well earned rest,
and a little tipple,
Hi! from the girls,
Boo!
a few dead soldiers at the end of the evening,
by now the house warming had gotten into full swing,
Jay is showing Mick a new technique,
then Mr.Sleep called round,
try as I might I gave in to,
but the girls partied on,
whilst some of us caught up on their beauty sleep!
the end of a very nice house warming dinner, a big thank you to Mick and Mass and a sorry for depleting Mark's wine collection! then off to bed.
