We Had Called Over To See Mick And Mass in Their House Earlier,

then it was over to the beer bar opposite the 99 baht restaurant for Sunday lunch,
Diana had put on her glad rags then off we went,
we meet up with Big Jim so we had to have a sit down,
the 99 baht restaurant looked as busy as usual,
"Cheers!" from the three of us, the hotel had put out it's Christmas decorations,
but Jim had a suggestion, had we tried the Dine for 89 along the road for Sunday lunch?
well we had not although he said the Sunday menu was 199, in fact it was 249 when we arrived there, but what the heck, we were here now,
the restaurant is actually called the Robins Nest, everything was ship shape and Bristol fashion,
the view looking across the road,
inside everything was nicely laid out,
and as an added bonus our lady that looked after us was Filipino, so Diana and Jing had a good chat,
we all went for the 249 baht help yourself menu, stating with chicken soup, (and there was lots of chicken in it),
surprisingly the restaurant was not as full as I would have expected,
but back to the meal a bottle of house red,
which both Jim and myself found rather nice at 550 baht a bottle,
then on to the main course, slices of lamb, beef, ham and pork, plus spare ribs, chicken legs, sausages and some thing like beef jerky were all on the menu,
plus a full complement of vegetables, this is what my plate looked like, diet starting next week!
for desert apple pie and ice cream all included, all in all very nice indeed, but of course more than the 99 baht we were going to go to, which is the best? well the 99 baht is excellent value for money, but was the meal in Robins Nest worth the extra 150 baht? yes, but both are still good value for money and both serve delicious food, who knows which one we will go back to next week,
when we arrived home Diana wanted to try out her new sandwich toaster, 535 baht from Friendship,
a two sandwich special,
I was still full but Diana decided to make a single ham and cheese sandwich for her, then it was off to bed, Monday is going to be a busy day, first thing to the post office in Naghula, the postman popped a pink card in the letterbox to say we were out when he called, (we were not I saw him), but he drove off before I could stop him, then we are taking a friend to the police station to fill out a few forms, another friend is a little ill so a house call is in order, then we are meeting Big Jim and Lhen Lhen in CareFore at 3 in the afternoon to help purchase toys for the kids at The Mercy Center and of course essential supplies, diapers, milk, noodles and 101 other things that orphanages need, so it was good night from us.
