Yesterday Morning A Red Sky,

today clear skies,

and if you look carefully in the center of the picture Venus and Spica make an appearance before the sunrises,

we decided to go shopping to Lidl for a change, as there was a store in Beckenham, the advertisements on television made everything look so good, but in truth we were both underwhelmed, we made our way back home past the church next to the Lidl carpark and after dropping our shopping off,

we made our way to the Beckenham Cricket Club,

where I joined as a social member, we will call in on Wednesday to pick up my membership card and perhaps have a meal there,

next a walk to the Mansion, in Beckenham Place Park, there is a weekend local fair taking place,

I had to stop straight away to take a photograph of this old Citron,

selling Lebanese street food,

 the first stall we encountered,

selling jellies and preserves,

next a home made cake stall,

we might be calling back here later,

or maybe this one for some after Sunday lunch cakes,

lunch was a way off, and some of the aromas were so tempting,

and many you could sample, chocolate, yummy!

there were of course lots of stalls not selling food, like this one with a local crafts person showing her wares,

 into the mansion we went,

there were about 20 or so stalls inside,

 selling hand made goods,

 like hats,

 or jewelry,

 like these necklaces,

 napkins and other table decorations,

there was also a room dedicated to the history of the Mansion and park,

with items collected from the park,

and a history of it, with documents going back the when the park was first created, and it's history,

and her is a piece of natural history, one the cut down trees has a time line featured on its tree rings,

 the gingerbread man stall,

of course if you are in Scotland and are in parliament you can no longer say gingerbread man, yes it is true, Scottish Parliament staff are banned from saying gingerbread ‘man’ at Holyrood coffee shop because it’s not gender neutral – as they rename biscuits ‘gingerbread people’ which proves two things, A, the lunatics are running the asylum, and B, the lunatics have way too much time on their hands,

and look, a gingerbread man house, I wonder if it has a mancave? question to Scottish MP's, what would you now call a mancave? answers on a postcard please, the next time you are let out and allowed to play with paper,

I sense Diana has a cunning plan,

and she has, we are having a slice of tiramisu cake for desert,

 next a touch of luxury,

whilst next door a chef is at work,

 we made our way home,

where Diana cooked a ham, with gravy for herself,

 none for myself,

 'Cheers!',

and naturally the tiramisu cake for desert,

for our films firstly out order, the Pink Panther with Steve Martin, which we followed with,

Gattaca, a glimpse into the future where at birth if your parents chose wisely you have a perfect life, but if they let nature take it's course and you are not 100% you have to lie, steal and cheat to appease society and make it in the world,

to round off the evening, The Return of the Pink Panther, which we should have watched first, but there it is, and with the finish of that we were off to bed.
