A Few Years Ago,

I read the book,

Seven Pillars of Wisdom  by T. E. Lawrence, and a good read it was too, 

almost as good is a book I have, written by a friend of mine Victor Winstone, titled Captain Shakespear, as one reviewer wrote, 'This wonderful book details just how great our influence in modern Saudi Arabia would have been if it had not been for the incompetence of the British Government', incompetence, British Government? who would have thought that? for a brief look at the life of Captain Shakespear have a look here, but I digress, from the Seven Pillars of Wisdom,

 we go to the eight pillars of a cloud like structure which is in fact titled, Pillars of Dreams, the work is by Marc Fornes and his New York-based studio THEVERYMANY, photographs by NAARO, courtesy of THEVERYMANY,

 located outside county buildings in Charlotte, USA, the public art piece stands 26.5 feet tall and 43 feet wide, and required 54,000 rivets to hold together over 3,500 individual metal sheets,

 Pillars of Dreams is composed of eight columns that merge at the top in spherical formations, and hues of pink and blue on the interior peek through in perforations that add to the airy quality of the structure,

 in a statement on the sculpture, the studio describes it as “a soft landing in a field of quiet moments and curious interactions” that is “meant to be moved through rather than appraised as an object.”
