It Was Diana's Day Off,

so out we went,

first stop, clean the car inside and out,

next stop, Westerham, so a quick pose,

well, I had to get into the picture as well,

and today decided to revisit the town,

we looked at few of the shops, this one with a decidedly Thai flavour,

and go to the same tea room for our afternoon tea, the Tudor Rose

for a pot of tea,

sandwiches and cakes,

 and of course,

fruit scones with fresh cream and jam, what a way to start the afternoon!

treat finished we had a walk,

we were going to followed the path around the building,

but first a quick pose,

and a photograph of the memorial,

but before the walk we had a look inside,

the staircase leading up to the belltower,

 and the bells ropes,

inside,

 we made our way,

 to the altar,

and the stained glass window behind it,

one of several windows in the building to have stained glass,

on our way out, a nativity scene,

in the church grounds there was a small cottage, not the place to live if you believe in ghosts!

 we started our walk,

past the rear of the church,

a quick pose by a huge yew tree, as an aside, so many churches have yews growing in their grounds, but why? and no they were not planted for longbow production!, if you want to know the real answer have a look here, it is a fascinating read,

whilst taking the photograph of Diana, this caught my eye,

 I could not believe it,

the first show of cherry blossoms! I just hope they are not caught out in a hard frost,

around the side of the church,

and up back to the square,

I had a look in the antique shop where last year we bought a cut crystal flower vase,

arriving home I had a walk to the bank, I wanted to know if I had a DD for the cars vehicle tax, and not having online banking it was a visit to the bank, and I did not, and rather strangely I thought, the bank could not set up a DD for the cars yearly tax, it could only be done at a post office, so off I went to the post office, where the DD was set up, so one less thing to do this time next year,

in the evening it was turkey noodle soup for starters,

 followed by a lamb casserole,

 with broccoli, and for dessert?

a Christmas box that we finally decided to open,

well I like them as well! we listened to music for most of the evening, finishing with another episode of The Witcher, and with that we were off to bed.
