No Photographs Today,

as we are all in lockdown mode,

during the day we watched television, but after our evening meal I was out, at 8.00 in the evening, well just before, in the UK hundreds, if not thousands of people opened their windows, stood on their balconies or walked, keeping a safe distance, into the streets to applaud the efforts of the NHS and healthcare workers doing such a good service to the pubic, Matt sent a message to the residents of our flats, I thought it would just be a couple of us, but as it turned out in the dark near the front of our property I counted 9 of us, plus at the side of the building the family of 4 from downstairs were all out clapping and banging all manner of objects, also Maggie was at her open window with a saucepan and a wooded spoon, and it was not just our building, all over the park I could hear people in the near and far distance making all sorts of noises, what a great turn out, any NHS workers and carers who might be reading this, a big 'well down and thank you', from all of us, many buildings in London were illuminated especially for the show of support, you can see some of them here, the above photograph Naomi Baker/Getty Images, returning inside we played a couple of games of Monopoly, again no luck for Diana I am afraid,

next our film for the evening, Lord Of War, based on a true story, the real 'Lord of War', Viktor Bout was arrested in Bangkok in 2008, and sentenced in 2012 to 25 years in prison, in the USA, if you have not watched the film, you may want to give it a try, we both thoroughly enjoyed watching it again, and with that we were off to bed.
