I Had A Quiet Day,

in the morning,

I started putting together some of the bits and pieces we will need next week for our holiday, kettle, pots and pans, cutlery, you get the idea, everything for our days at the beach hut, in the afternoon Steve called by for a coffee and a chat, then after he left it was feet up for a series that Diana and myself really liked, I watched a few of episodes of Black Books, we had seen the series before, the characters we already now know are even funnier watching it again, Black Books is a Bafta-winning sitcom about the antics of foul tempered and wildly eccentric bookshop owner Bernard Black, his long-haired and long-suffering assistant, Manny, and his best (in fact only) friend, Fran, great fun,

in the evening a pre-meal sherry,

as a starter,

a scallop shell with prawns, smoked and baked salmon, and a sauce, with fingers of toasted and buttered seeded bread,

'Cheers!',

for my main course chicken madras, tikka masala and korma with Bombay potatoes, pilau rice and a naan bread, delicious,

just before 10.00 in the evening Diana called, so a brisk walk to the bus stop and back, arriving home it was feet up for some cobnuts and a episode of New Tricks, next for us we were off to bed.
