The Word 'Obese' Is Officialy Banned!
why, I hear you ask?
wait for it, because focus groups did not like it, England's chief medical officer said today, Professor Liam Donaldson revealed that the term was replaced on letters to parents over fears it would upset and stigmatise fat children, writing on the BBC News website he said obesity had become a taboo word or an 'O word', basically kids are weighed when they enter their first school and are weighed 5 or 6 years latter, if a problem such as being overweight is found the health authority writes to the kids parents, so I guess instead of writing "your child is obese" the health authority now has to write "you have got a fat kid!" as if the parents had not noticed!
