what is it?
yes a bicycle, but were are the pedals?
a scooter perhaps, not quite,
give up?
it is an electric walking bike, fed up with using his treadmill indoors,
Dutch farmer/inventor Bruin Bergmeester, designed and made himself the first one, the bike works just
like any other bike but instead of peddling you walk, the bike comes with an
electric motor that gives it a range of up to 55 km and a top speed of 24 km
per hour, the Lopifit first hit the streets in 2014 and, unsurprisingly, became
an instant hit, that was actually quite challenging for the company, because it
started getting inquiries and calls for orders, but it was nowhere near ready
for mass production, the unique treadmill bicycle became available this year,
and Lopifit is struggling to keep up with demand, despite the hefty price tag
of €1,995 (at today's rate £1,675 or $2,107) it
looks so strange, if you have a few seconds to spare have a look at the video,
it looks so weird watching people walk on a bicycle, and no I am not on commission
but I would love to try one!
