about unusual shapes and designs in buildings around the world, so today we decided to have a look at some we have seen on our travels in Bangkok, firstly the tallest building on the Bangkok skyline, the mixed use MahaNakhon skyscraper,
it is located in the Silom/Sathon central business district of Bangkok, and was opened in late August 2016 at 314 meters and with 77 floors it stands out amongst the crowd, it is owned by Pace Development, the architect Ole Scheeren,
next not the tallest, but certainly the biggest,
elephant in the world, easily seen in the distance form our travels in Chatuchak market, it is the Elephant Building or Chang Building is a high-rise
building at Paholyothin Road and Ratchadaphisek Road in Bangkok, it
lies in the north Bangkok business district and Chatuchak District it is 102 meters tall with 32 floors, owed by the Elephant Group, Inc., and Arun Chaiseri Group, the architect, Sumet Jumsai,
and lastly stood on the grounds of what once was a part of the British Embassy that we saw on our last visit to Bangkok, is the Central Embassy which is Central Group’ s new flagship property,
the gem in an illustrious string of high-profile projects by Thailand’s
largest retail chain, it is situated on the bustling intersection of Wireless and Ploen Chit, the seven-storey retail podium is home to the biggest names —
both international and local — in fashion, beauty, design, dining and tech,
while its sky-high voids has hosted works, collections and performances by
world-acclaimed visual artists, musicians, fashion designers and curators, it has terraces and top-floor restaurants which overlook the sights and lights
of downtown Bangkok, offering one of the most picturesque sunsets in the city
on a daily basis, on top a 30 story hotel, architect AL_A of 14A Brewery Rd, London, these are just a few of the incredible high rise buildings that grace our capitol of Bangkok, there are so many more to see.
