we come across names of places that are strange or humorous,

 well Australian artist Damien Rudd has taken this one stage further,

 looking through maps he was looking for sad or depressing sounding rivers, lakes, places and roads via Google Maps, screen-shotting and posting their sad names for his audience of followers,

head over to Rudd’s Instagram, where with his maps you can plan for a miserable sad weekend visit, all of this begs the question, what was in the person's mind when he or she named for instance Suicide Bay, was it because a lot of people committed suicide there, or was the person that named it about to do so?
