After The Dust From Yesterday Had Settled,

it was time to hover up,

 so mask on,

and I started with Diana's help to tidy the place up,

the metal water tank now in two pieces downstairs,

it is surprising how much space there is uphere,

this door leading to what I presume was the staff cloakroom,

before lunch we went for a walk,

 through the park,

 many of the trees,

 in blossom,

as we neared the mansion it was almost a cloudless sky,

although many of the trees were in flower, there were a number that did not have even a leaf on them,

we walked past what was once the mansion car park, now being refurbished,

then the walk downhill towards HomeBase,

a quick look at the revised poster showing the lake, the first poster showed a couple of people fishing, so they have been removed from the scene, I am guessing someone complained about the sport, having read last months council news, the above poster still has a couple of errors, firstly kayaking, the company the council chose has gone bankrupt, there are no plans to look for another company, secondly swimming and paddling in the lake, again in the councils hand out both will not be allowed, as the council has no funds to appoint a full time lifeguard, heath and safety I guess,

 we continued our walk downhill,

passing a few nice mature trees as we went,

in HomeBase we had a look,

 at some of the orchids,

 on display there,

they have consistently had the best display of plants in the the few garden centers and stores that sell plants that we have seen,

arriving home with a few bits and pieces,

Diana prepared lunch, our starter for today was chicken pate,

and a chop of pork with stuffing and all of the trimmings for our main course,

a dessert of apple and rhubarb crumble with custard rounded our meal off 'Cheers!',

Diana's window box of succulents is doing well,

with one throwing up a large flower spike,

with three buds at the end of it, so a few flowers in the next week or so,

we listened to music in the evening and watched a couple of Mrs. Brown's Boys, not to everyone's taste but we just enjoy the shows so much, and with the end of a few of those and a couple of antiques shows we were off to bed.
