A Quiet And Disappointing Day,

over the weekend we ordered a couple of things,

firstly 2 fans from Argos, we selected a time on Sunday evening for them to be delivered, they were not, but, we were given a time for them to be delivered on Monday evening, again the delivery never happened, so we telephoned them first thing Tuesday to see what had happened, the reason we were given 2 delivery times? and I quote, 'they were out of stock on the first delivery, but hoped they would be in stock for the second delivery, we will telephone you shortly to let you know when they will be in stock, sorry about that', nearly 24 hours later still no call, moving on to a professional delivery company DHL, we wanted another small cabinet from the same company that we received an order from last week, delivery by DHL between 11.30 - 12.30, we received a message to say they were running late, then tracking the delivery later in the afternoon we were told the delivery had been signed for and delivered, just a slight snag, not to us! we emailed them, (DHL), at roughly 2.00 in the afternoon, later in the evening we received an email from DHL stating they had received our email and that, 'we aim to respond to you in the next 24 hours', on the good news front the printer was working fine for the first 3 prints, then ran out of ink! and of course waiting for the 2 failed deliveries and Diana being at work I could not go out to buy more ink, why does stuff like this always happen to us?

back to the evening, after my evening meal, I watched a few episodes of I, Claudius, a bit dated now as it was made in 1976, but still very enjoyable,

then a walk through the park to pick Diana up from the bus stop and walk her home, where we watched one episode from Game of Thrones, tomorrow Diana will be off to work whilst I wait hopefully for our 2 deliveries, note to self, if you are going to use a professional company avoid Argos and DHL like the plague, I should point out that this is the second time DHL failed to deliver, stranger still that house we live in along with 7 other families has been here for at least 120 years, but apparently it is off of the DHL radar/sat nav, and with that we were off to bed.
