is not a medium that we often post about,
and if you are wondering what it is, have a look here, and one artist that knows how to use it is the
Münster, Germany based illustrator
and paper artist Tina
Kraus, the Venus fly trap above looking just like the real thing,
as does all of her other creations,
and that is the beauty of using crêpe paper,
it has a nice fine crinkly texture giving her creations that extra look,
she sculpts
realistic insects, plants, and reptiles out of textured crepe paper, adding
colorful details with pastel chalk and paint,
Kraus
first began using the material about two years ago, starting with common
flowers and moving on to more nontraditional plants such as the Venus flytrap, most recently she has has created a gecko and several different types of
insects,
when she is not building crepe paper objects, the artist works on pop-up books, paper toys, and illustrations for children’s books and magazines, You can see more of her work on Instagram and Behance, I have to say for paper creations they do look remarkably realistic.
