I decided to give the aquariums a water change,
the one nearest the front door was first to have 25% or so of it's water changed,
which was easy as I had made up a syphon that hangs over the edge of the aquarium and stops draining when the water when it reaches the strainer,
the other one is just as easy,
there is a drain next to the aquarium, plus a tap to top the water level back up,
so once the water is out turn on the tap and wait for it to fill,
going back to the first aquarium I use the hose from the front garden,
not that we will be going out in it, but notice the Songkran shirt,
maintenance over so take a shower and change, then time to get ready for our evening meal,
when this bar-b-q rusts away the next one will be a bit taller, but I should not say too much as Mark very kindly gave us this one,
today the fire caught quite quickly,
so out with the food, garlic bread, prawn kebabs and marinated chicken along with potatoes and onions in foil, not to mention a pepper grinder to spice things up just a little,
all set ready to go,
next door Jake knew something was going on,
so he came over to say hello,
but was then distracted by another dog in the street,
kebabs nearly done,
after the garlic bread we ate the prawn kebabs,
by now it was quiet dark but still light enough to see by,
Diana then produced some of her home made pizzas,
whilst I settled for the chicken,
along with onions and potato in garlic butter bom-boms, plus a medicinal glass of red wine, we watched the bats chasing insects until we decided to go inside to watch some television,
first for us MASH, (Mobile Army Surgical Hospital), still so funny after all of the years since it was made (1970),
we then went to the third episode of Gormenghast, the character Steerpike is now getting in to his stride as he from humble beginnings tries to take over power in the castle, it is now getting to be much more enjoyable, I am glad we had not stopped watching after a for us poor beginning, next a couple from satellite television then for us we were off to bed.
