Today Mark Called Around Early,

then we were off,

to a sale organised by Peter from the Pattaya Auction House, it was taking place at a private home, a gentleman collecting items from all over the world for 40 years, then tragically he died, the collection was then taken over for the next 20 years by his son who is now moving, both Mark and myself being keen stamp collectors thought we would go over and have a look, well you never know! by the way everything is for sale, including the house, for directions the easiest way is to take the road under the fly over that leads to the Regents school from Sumkivitt, just 800 or so meters form Sumkivitt look for a sign like the one above, go slow it is easy to miss! turn left and you will see another sign on the right, that is it, the house is behind a small office,

we were met by Peter and the vendor, here showing us some stamp albums,
to say it was an Aladdin's cave was an understatement! there were toys and memorabilia everywhere,
like these Dutch street houses, I am not sure who they were made by but they were promotional gifts from KLM Airlines, think how many journeys they represent,
shelf upon shelf stacked with goodies,
this case contains miniature clogs, just a few inches long, then even smaller ones on the bottom shelf, if you look really carefully there is an even smaller railway train below them,
as I mentioned before even the house is for sale,
I can not tell you much about it but give Peter a call if you are interested on 084-464-9486, and no I am not on commission!
all of the garden decorations are going a well,
including this beautiful blue water lily,
this is the office to look out for on the right, the house sale is behind it,
the sign says it all,
just as we were leaving so was Peter, so we followed him to his huge auction warehouse,
map of the warehouse, easy to get to and difficult to miss, I mean it is huge!
there are so many things on offer here, boats,
with inboard engines like this one,
did I mention the building was big?
well it is,
all you need now is a buffalo to pull it!
but joking aside, it is one thing to have another big warehouse it is another thing to fill it, well Peters warehouse was full of things for auction,
where to start describing what is on offer?
from objects d'art to
wooden Thai spirit houses, there was so much to look at, so if you want to have a look go, it is great fun and you may find the find that makes your dream come true!
but for Mark he was famished, we had already eaten but Mark had not, so where else to eat? the Punch and Judy, just past the Eden Hotel on the other side of the road, Mark had the small breakfast, just 120 baht I believe, I guess you would need a bigger plate for the big one!
later it was more hula-hooping for Diana, then we settled down to watch a few DVD's,
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade was the first we watched, a real boys own adventure, three years after he recovered The Ark of the Covenant, Jones recovered an artifact that he found as a kid, the Cross of Francisco De Coronado from treasure hunters, now, Jones discovers the history of another biblical artifact called "The Holy Grail", He was also informed that his father, Henry Jones is missing, the adventure begins,
not as funny as the first series and with a change of cast, next it was I Didn't Know You Cared Season 3, I say not as funny, however it still had more than a few bleak, dark satanic hills type moments and one liners that only Uncle Mort could say,
to round off the evening another few from Tales, this time In the Cards, is the one that has the best twist in tale, Madame Myra foretells in a tarot card reading that her client Charlie will come into a lot of money...but die shortly afterwards, although she does not find him attractive she marries him in the hopes of becoming a wealthy widow after the prophecy comes true, but at what cost? then off to bed.
