then two from the horror box, the 1992 Dracula, this version of Dracula is closely based on Bram Stoker's classic novel of the same name, a young lawyer (Jonathan Harker) is assigned to a gloomy village in the mists of eastern Europe, he is captured and imprisoned by the undead vampire Dracula, who travels to London, inspired by a photograph of Harker's betrothed, one of the more memorable remakes, followed by Dracula II: Ascension, not as good as the first but some chilling special effects, it would have been better to have seen it late at night!
mid evening it was a Touch Of Frost, two stories on this DVD, Penny for the Guy, there is a manpower shortage and a rash of child kidnapped for ransom force a vacationing Frost back to work, followed by House Calls, the body of a thief undiscovered for 3 months is found, but who lived in the house before? also a child abuser who is injecting children with water is on the lose again, Jack recalls a similar case and when they learn he is now in the area, they have have an immediate suspect,
then for us a sad night, the last three of the 112 episodes of Tales Of The Unexpected, it was nice to watch a pre-Poirot David Suchet in this one called A Time to Die, playing Yves Drouard, he decides he will kill his wife by rigging up an explosive device to a new time clock, but what happens when there is a power cut? but of the three the best was - but with an easy to see twist Mr. Know-All, played by a very likable Topol, then off to bed.
