then all aboard for the Sky Lark!
the boat was as usual packed,
but one thing we did notice was that there was some one with a counter in his hand counting the number of passengers, instead of waiting till the 09.00 departure time as soon as the boat was considered full we were off,
we were being over taken by speed boats all of the time, 50 minuets for 30 baht or 20 minuets for 300 baht, up to you!
one of the now empty ferries heading back for more holiday makers,
one of the small bays we pass on the way to the larger beach,
the Marine Police headquarters,
one of the many small Thai fishing boats getting ready to go to sea,
walking along the pier to the big beach on the right is this smaller one, just follow the raised wooded walkway,
lots of seafood to be tempted by,
and fresh fruit,
bar-b-q shrimps and chicken as well,
for us a coke, coffee, two plates of chicken fried rice, 250 baht, plus 200 baht for the chair hire, add on 120 baht for the trip here and back, all of that for change out of £12.00,
egg fried rice, delicious,
coconut for Diana,
and a 40 baht beer for me,
did I mention water for Diana and another beer for me?
the beach was crowded,
but if you wanted some quality time to be by yourself - just pick up your chair and go!
there is no jet skis allowed here inshore, just multi coloured rubber rings,
chicken on a stick, ice cream and a beer, that's my girl!
then home, a quick pose by the coconut stall, notice the new beach bag, we got tried of looking for plastic bags to put towels etc in, so Diana bought this little number last Friday,
by now the beach was starting to empty out,
once more past the yellow submarine, I am not sure if it still operates, but it is always here when ever we go past,
another ferry in a race to the finish,
then a cool drink at the end of the pier, normally we have this bar to ourselves, but today there were only a couple of tables free,
we went shopping on the way home, only to find a city wide shortage of coke zero, we tried Friendship, Family Mart and two 7-11's, but with no luck, then into a TESCO Lotus Express, we bought the last 4 cans they had,
we were a little out of sync looking at disc 4 first instead of disc1 all from season two, but luckily with the exception of I think one double episode plot, Who Shot Mr. Burns? it does not seem to mater too much what order you watch them in,
followed by This Island Earth, the Metalunaians are coming, the Metalunaians are coming! was the cry, but fear not, mankind, oops! humankind, triumphs in the end, when I first saw this as a kid the mutant was really scary, remember this was in 1956, special effects AND color! then off to bed.
