or cotton candy as it is called in America,
but what I have never seen is candy floss flowers, until
now, this video was taken in ChongQing, China, as you might imagine it is
not so good for your teeth amongst other things, so guess who
invented the candy floss/cotton candy machine? you guessed it, a dentist! in 1897 the dentist William Morrison and confectioner John C. Wharton invented the machine and was
first to introduced the product to a wide audience at the 1904 World's Fair as "Fairy Floss"
with great success, selling 68,655 boxes at 25¢ per box (equivalent to $6 per
box today), but back to the video, it is fascinating to watch and the end
result is huge.
